Lead Web Engineer - International Laboratory Corporation
16th November 2023 to present
Embedded systems. Clients include: Mitsubishi Electronic, Sony and Olympus Medical
- Designed and built full-stack Python and PHP web systems from the ground up, including server setup, OS, networking, backend, frontend, and NoSQL databases
- Led DX via agile methodology within the web workflow, improving development processes
- Developed CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems and handled DevOps responsibilities
- Upgraded PHP codebases and AWS infrastructure to meet current industry standards
- Developed a Real-time digital twin LIDAR system via Unity, ROS2 and AWS
Assistant Language Teacher – Kure Board of Education

During my time as an ALT in Japan I learnt many non-technical skills inside and outside of work such as, a basic understanding of Japanese, learning to live in a country with a different culture and language to my own and teaching students English through meaningful lessons.

- Supporting AWS Migrations by refactoring core code bases and creating tools to ease migration
